The maps illustrate the transformation of the coastal village of Ryemouth from 1995 to the present day.

Overall, the village has experienced significant modernization and development, changing from a rural and fishing-dependent area into a more recreation- and tourism-oriented settlement, alongside a notable expansion of residential housing.

In the northern section, the farmland was converted into a golf course, while the forest park was completely cleared to make way for tennis courts. The residential area in the northwest expanded with the construction of several new houses and an extension of the local road.

Moving to the central and southern parts, the shops located west of the main road were replaced by a restaurant. Opposite them, the hotel remained, but the car park on its eastern side was removed. Further south, the fishing port was completely demolished, and the fish market was replaced by a block of apartments. While the cafe by the sea was preserved, the road network was extended to connect it directly with the newly moved car park area.
